extension / house remodelling, Capel

David Jaques was given the brief, and was asked to work within an appropriate budget. He produced some sketches, based on the most practical options, along with costings.

His recommended design for the front elevation was entirely founded on the existing structure of the property, so the main footprint of the building could be maintained, with very little foundation work required. The ugly flat roofs were lost by extending the line of the existing main roof. A dormer was added to break up the roof line and enhance the altered bathroom, and a master suite with bathroom and dressing area was created in the new front facing gable.

Once this scheme was agreed, we employed the services of local architect Mike Hemmings to produce drawings for the Planning application.
